The Great Cave of Arcy-sur-Cure is part of the site of the caves of Arcy-sur-Cure, which are located in the commune of Arcy-sur-Cure in the department of Yonne in Burgundy, France. It is a prehistoric archaeological site and a cave decorated with parietal art. Parietal paintings of 28,000 years old, the oldest currently known in France after those of the Chauvet cave, were discovered there in 1990; These are the oldest known wall paintings available to the public. It also contains engravings prior to the paintings.
