Château des Blondes

Château des Blondes is located in Sassenage, a commune in the Isère department, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. This building serves as a Town Hall in the municipality of Sassenage. The building was originally a large house welcoming and housing disinherited young girls, charged with making a lace fabric called the blonde, hence the name of the building that will very soon be known as the "Blond Castle". It is under this official term that the town hall, by decision of its municipal council, installed in the building, chose to name it.
