The Monument d'Auvours is located on the plateau d'Auvours in the commune of Yvré-l'Évêque in the department of Sarthe, France. This monument erected on the site of the fighting commemorates and honours the soldiers of the various units of the second army of the Loire who died during the battle of Le Mans (1871) and more particularly during the charge of the plateau d'Auvours by the division of the army of Brittany of General Auguste Gougeard on 11 January 1871, during the Franco-German war of 1870. Some 100 soldiers who died in this fight and General Gougeard were buried there.
