château de Grenelle
The Grenelle Castle is a castle located on the northwest edge of the present Dupleix Square in Paris, which is located in the former lower yard. Used as a powder factory, it was largely destroyed by an explosion in 1794, transformed into a military gymnasium in 1820, into a Cavalry district in 1860. The rest of the barracks on Dupleix Square and the Nicole-de-Hauteclocque Square correspond approximately to its location.
