Tourist attraction
The Swiss Village is originally a picturesque reconstitution of an idealized Swiss village, intended for the visit, whose architectural and ethnographic concept and first concretisation were born in the framework of the Swiss National Exhibition of 1896 in Geneva, then taken over on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition of 1900 in Paris. On the site of the Swiss Village of Paris is now established a high-end shopping centre, exclusively composed of antique shops or decorators and art galleries.
