Jardin botanique de Saint Xist

The botanical garden of Saint-Xist (900 m2) is a botanical garden located in the Clapier, Aveyron, Midi-Pyrénées in the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park. It is open for free all year round. It was founded in 1999 on the initiative of René Touren, it is managed by the Church of Saint-Xist association.

The garden is located next to the church of St. Xist of the 10th century and contains nearly 300 species of medicinal, aromatic and poisonous plants, as once found in the "garden of simples" of the monastery and local species of the nearby Guillaumard plateau. It is maintained in association with the Montpellier plant garden.
