The Verlaine Theatre is an old 750-seat theatre, located 66 rue de Rochechouart in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Created in 1946, it was bought by Alexandra Roubé-Jansky in 1951; It will lead it until its closure in 1969, without ever being able to ensure its economic viability. She renamed it Theatre of the Arts in 1954. On June 14, 1966, a fire caused significant damage to the theatre.
