porte Saint-Denis
The Porte Saint-Denis is a triumphal arch located in the current 10th arrondissement of Paris and built in 1673, by architect François Blondel, to the glory of Louis XIV. It is located at the location of a door of Paris from the old enclosure of Charles V. The adjacent walls have since been destroyed. It is one of the most representative monuments of the official art of its time, presented in all anthologies.
