monument de Gergovie
The monument to Gergow, or memorial to Vercingetorix, is a work by the architect Jean Teillard, from the Clermont region, raised in 1900 on the eastern edge of the Gergow plateau, a few kilometres south of Clermont-Ferrand in the Puy-de-Dôme, to celebrate Vercingetorix's victory over Caesar on this site in 52 BC.
