==History== The former castle named château de la Plane was part of the seigneury of the Plane, which included, in addition to the castle, a rural estate of vines and forest developed by the Feuillants. It belonged to a rich family of Bordeaux owners, who have a street in Bordeaux. Lord Gratian Mullet.

They restored the castle after its fire; their coat of arms is visible above the front door: three ducks, TIERÇON de LA PLANE. The estate was then destroyed at the end of the Hundred Years' War and rebuilt in the 17th century. The present castle has therefore been completely rebuilt: the coat of arms and the staircase leading to the cellar are the only remains of the time.

It was in 1724 that the Duret family, whose sonage dates back to Benjamin Duret, a bourgeois of Bordeaux and merchant, acquired the noble house of the Plane. The castle was purchased in 1989 by the town of Eysines. The 17th century pigeon house was listed as a historic monument by decree of 4 March 1992.
