Roquepertuse on the town of Velaux in Bouches-du-Rhône, is a plateau of about half a hectare, overlooking the valley of the Arc. From the 7th to the 2nd century B.C.E., there was an important protoceltic village. The site was listed as a historic monument in 1967.
