église Saint-Georges de Sélestat
Saint George's Church is a Gothic church located in the town of Séletat, Lower Rhine. Rivale of the nearby Sainte-Foy Conventual Church, it marks the rise of the bourgeoisie. The church is located near the Humanist Library, founded in 1452 by Jean de Westhuss, priest at Saint George's Church.
First dedicated to the Blessed Virgin, the church is known as St George only since 1500. The building has been classified as historic monuments since 18 March 1848.
