The caves of Lespugue, also known as caves of the Sava, are a set of caves located in the gorges of the Sava on the commune of Lespugue in Haute-Garonne, in Pays Comminges Pyrénées, in the Occitanie region, France. Drained in limestone, these caves delivered a beautiful archaeological stratigraphy covering the Solutrean period in the Middle Central Ages, including the Gravettien with its flagship object, the Venus de Lespugue of the Rideau Cave and, much less known, the Venus of the Harpon Shelter. They have nearby the caves of Montmaurin, which take part in the same geological formation and whose cave of the Niche has delivered the famous "mandible of Montmaurin" (190 ka - 240 ka). The two sets of caves, Montmaurin and Lespugue, are complementary in terms of times of occupation.
