About

La Chapelle Saint-Laurent is a chapel located in Moussan in the French department of Aude in the Occitan region. This chapel, together with the chapels Saint-Martin-de-Fenollar, Saint-Jérôme d'Argelès, Saint-Michel de Sournia, Saint-Georges de Lunas, Saint-Nazaire de Roujan and Saint-Pierre de Léneyrac in Ceyras, constitutes a witness to the pre-Roman architecture of the Wisigothic tradition in Septimania, a region which corresponds to the current regions of Roussillon and Languedoc which have been an integral part of the Wisigothic kingdom of Toulouse (419-507) and the Wisigothic kingdom of Toledo (507-711).
