Ascain Roman bridge
The Romanesque bridge of Ascain crossed the Nivelle in the commune of Ascain, in the French department of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques (New Aquitaine region). Some sources indicate that it is built around the middle of the fifth century, but this very high dating is not unanimous and building around the sixteenth or even the seventeenth century is probable.
