The Mauvillain Ark is located in Châlons-en-Champagne, it passes over the Mau.
The walls of the southern part of the city crossed the Mau at the level of the Mauvillain fortified bridge, marking the entrance of the city by the rivers. It is cited in the 14th century in a room "the chastel and tower of Mauvilain". There was a fortification, for the defense of the city, a castle and a bastion. At the beginning of the 16th century, it was asked to improve the defences of the southern front of the city.
