The Atlantic Garden is a Parisian garden in the Necker district of the 15th arrondissement.
Situation and access: The site is accessible by 1 Place des Cinq-Martyrs-du-Lycée-Buffon or directly by stairs from the inside of Montparnasse station. It is served by Montparnasse - Bienvenüe on lines 4, 6, 12 and 13.
Description: A large, open square lawn is the centre of the park. It is crossed in its center by an alley that leads to the fountain of L'Île des Hesperides where one finds a portico with each foot housing meteorological equipment and which supports a large orientable mirror. The persistent vegetation adorning the park is borrowed from the nature of the Atlantic facades of both continents and offers in addition to the green, purple, white and blue. The garden offers a playground for children, whose layout of small squares and covered paths radically contrasts with the rest of the park. This area is overflew by a long curved pedestrian bridge.
