The Palais de Chaillot is located on the hill of Chaillot in Paris, in the 16th arrondissement, Place du Trocadéro-et-du-11-Novembre. It was created for the 1937 Universal Exhibition by architects and Grand Prix de Rome Léon Azema, Jacques Carlu and Louis-Hippolyte Boileau, in place of the Palais du Trocadéro. It is one of the three permanent buildings resulting from this universal exhibition, together with the Tokyo Palace and the palace of Jena.
