About

Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Cathedral in Cambrai is both a basilica and a former metropolitan church (former seat of the Archdiocese of Cambrai, comprising the suffragan dioceses of Arras and Lille). Since the former cathedral of Cambrai was destroyed during the French Revolution, the episcopal seat was transferred in 1804 to the church of the Abbey of Saint Sepulchre, which dates from the end of the seventeenth century. It has been classified as historical monuments since 9 August 1906. Following extensive work between 2000 and 2007 on roof restoration, the interior and stained glass windows have been restored since 2022 and are expected to last for 7 years.
