About

Pont Vieux is a bridge built on the Mayenne River in Laval. It dates from the 13th century and is the oldest bridge in the city. It remained the only bridge in Laval until the construction of the Pont Aristide-Briand (or "Ponque Neuf") at the beginning of the 19th century.

It has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1926. Originally, he was named Pont Saint-Julien or Pont de Mayenne. Pont Vieux connects rue du Pont de Mayenne on the left bank to Grande rue on the right bank.
