temple protestant de Saint-Sulpice-de-Royan
The Protestant temple of Saint-Sulpice-de-Royan, Charente-Maritime, is a place of worship of the United Protestant Church of France. It is part of the parish of Saintonge-Océan, which also includes Vaux-sur-Mer, Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, Breuillet and Saint-Augustin. Built from 1854 by the Parisian architect Léon Jossier (author, in the region, of the Temple of Chaillevette and that of Étaules), it is singularized by its extremely rare octagonal shape and its neo-Roman style, which contrasts with the classicist achievements that are generally found in the region.
