About

The church of Saint-Vivien is a parish church located in Breuillet, in the French department of Charente-Maritime and the diocese of La Rochelle and Saintes. Slightly out of reach of the city centre, this small church built in the 12th century is characteristic of Saintongese Romanesque art. Its surroundings are still occupied by a cemetery that essentially preserves 19th century burials, but also several medieval sarcophagi, exposed near the south wall. The church has been classified as historical monuments since May 9, 1914.
