About

The towers of Cabrenç, or Castle of Cabrenç, are a medieval castle in ruins located on the border of the municipalities of Lamanère and Serralongue, in Haut-Vallespir, in the French department of the Pyrénées-Orientales. Located on a rocky spur overlooking the valleys, the castle is equipped with three towers. He was also equipped with a chapel dedicated to Saint Michael, of which only a few ruins remain.

It is accessible on foot from Lamanère via a marked path requiring about two hours of walking. Built in the 11th century, it was destroyed by Vauban in retaliation for the Catalan Angelet revolt (1667-75). It is classified as a historical monument in 1988 for the middle tower and castle ruins, and in 1994 for the North Tower.
