château de Pizay
The castle of Pizay is an old fortified house, founded at the end of the 14th century, which stands, near a Renaissance house, in the commune of Belleville-en-Beaujolais in the delegated commune of Saint-Jean-d'Ardières to the north east of the Rhône department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The castle, located in the Beaujolais, is one of the oldest fiefs in the region. The castle is the subject of a partial inscription under the title of historical monuments by order of 5 September 1972. Only the facades and roofs of the dungeon, the round tower and the Henry III wing and the dungeon staircase are inscribed.
