Touroparc Zoo, formerly called Touroparc, is a French zoological park and amusement park located in Romanèche-Thorins in the department of Saône-et-Loire, Beaujolais. Founded in 1961 by René Livet, it covers 12 hectares and houses about 700 animals belonging to 140 species. He is a permanent member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) and participates in European programmes for endangered species (EEP). Touroparc Zoo is the 6th most visited place in the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region in 2016.
