Famous families had their chapel there. Among the best known are the Laurencins and the Bellièvres whose name of a street still reminds them today. From the eponymous church depended the cemetery of the parish of Saint-Pierre-le-Vieux.
This church was destroyed between 1844 and 1847, and elements were reused in various constructions.
