La Manécanterie is a historical monument located in Lyon in the Saint-Jean district, adjacent to the south-west of Saint-Jean Cathedral as part of the former cloister of the cathedral. The Manecanterie served first of all at the canons of Saint John, before becoming a manecantery strictly speaking, that is, a school for the singing of the clergy.
