fontaine Saint-Sulpice
The Saint-Sulpice fountain is located in Place Saint-Sulpice, on the square of the church which gives it its name, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. It is sometimes called the fountain of sacred speakers and is also maliciously called the fountain of the four cardinal dot(s) because it is decorated with four statues of Catholic bishops, famous preachers of the time of Louis XIV, who have never been appointed cardinals. But the faces of the fountain are roughly aligned with the cardinal points.
