Cap barré
Cap barré de Garastre or Oppidum de Garaste, is located 500 meters north of the village of Prades-le-Lez, in the territory of the commune of Saint-Vincent-de-Barbeyrargues, not far from the valley of a small river, the Lirou (fluent of Lez), in the department of Hérault, along the road that goes from Montpellier to Mende. It occupies the top of Garaster Rock. This big rock dominates the 60-metre road.
It is covered by a low garrigue with kermes oak (Quercus coccifera). It is a well known place of Montpelli geologists and amateur searchers.
