About

The bridge of the Châtelet is a single-track stone arch bridge that crosses a gorge of the Ubaye on the commune of Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye in the French department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Built in 1888, it is the only carrossable access to the hamlet of Fouillouse. With its unique arch, it seems as if placed at the top of the gorge, narrow at this place of 27 meters and deep by more than 108 meters.

Both the mountainous crayon, the rock with grey ochre tones, the narrowness, as the immediate chaining with a small single-track rock tunnel, make the site truly significant. You can admire the site from a point of view from the road from Serennes to Maurin.
