About

Blandan Park (or Sergent-Blandan Park) is a 17 hectare public park open to the public on September 13, 2013, at the location of the Sergeant Blandan Barracks (formerly Fort Lamothe) in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon. The park has three distinct spaces, a multipurpose square in the north, a "nature" area in the south and a panoramic park in the centre. The central part was opened to the public in September 2014.

After a rehabilitation, the northern part of the park, around the former fort, opens to the public on 17 May 2019 with more than 3 hectares of natural spaces open to the public. Finally, the space of the former fort was rehabilitated between 2024 and 2026. It is the third largest park in Lyon, after the Golden Head Park and Henry-Chabert Park.
