About

The railway bridges of Maisons-Laffitte are a set of two successive bridges located on the Paris-Le Havre line, ensuring the crossing of the Seine between the communes of Maisons-Laffitte and Sartrouville in the department of Yvelines (France), relying on the island of the Commune. The first bridge, with one arch, crossed the small arm of the Seine between the left bank (at Maisons-Laffitte) and the island of the Commune, and the second, at five arches, crossed the great arm between the island and the right bank of the river (at Sartrouville side). These bridges are used by various passenger train services, including those on the Paris-Saint-Lazare au Havre line, the Paris-Saint-Lazare à Cherbourg relationship, the Ile-de-France RER A line and the Transilien L line, as well as freight trains. They should be used in the future by trains on the E line of the RER extended to Mantes-la-Jolie from 2024.
