About

Sainte-Marguerite Church is a Catholic parish church located in Glaignes, France. Despite a still Romanesque aspect and its windows in the middle of the wall, it was built in several close-up countrysides at the beginning of the thirteenth century, in the primitive Gothic style. Chapels were added shortly after completion, north and south of the right span of the choir.

The church of Sainte-Marguerite is marked by a solid construction; a well-composed facade; a Romanesque bell tower, characteristic of the region; a good homogeneity; and by the monumental effect of his nave. Although built economically and designed not to be vaulted, it looks elegant and slender, and its large arcades with their quality capitals are remarkable. The church was classified as historical monuments by order of 22 October 1913.
