About

La Chapelle l'Emmanuel is a Catholic chapel, located in Place Georges-Braque at the Courneuve (Seine-Saint-Denis). It is dedicated to Emmanuel, another name of Christ. It is served by the Sons of Charity.

Architecture: It is a rectangular building with a two-sided roof. It is decorated with a canvas depicting The Virgin with the Child with Saint Joseph, copying an engraving by Philippe Thomassin after Martin Fréminet. This canvas has been classified as an object since 1979. The chapel was restored in 2016.

With Saint Lucian Church and Saint Yves des Quatre-Routes Church, it is one of the three Catholic places of worship in La Courneuve. It was built in 1961-1962, when the large assemblies of the new City of 4000 were built.
