About

The ancient Orange theatre, built during the reign of Augustus in the 1st century BC by veterans of the Second Legion of Julius Caesar, is one of the best preserved Roman theatres in the world with that of Bosra in Syria. It still has an impressive exterior wall with the original elevation (103 m long for 37 m high).
