The Church of Saint Martin is a parish Catholic church located in Ableiges, Val-d'Oise, France. It probably replaces a first building certified in 1071. The present church is characterized by a rectangular choir hall of six spans, spread over three vessels, and ending with a flat bedside.
This whole seems quite homogeneous at first sight, but we can distinguish three distinct construction campaigns by looking closely at the sculpture of the capitals, which is of a good level, and the vaults. The central ship with the still Romanesque bell tower and the double arches towards the crumbs is the oldest part, and seems to date back to the 1160 / 1170s. Inside, architecture evokes the first Gothic period.
The southern collateral is a little more recent, and the northern collateral only dates back to the 1220s, as indicated by a key vault, the arc forming and north of the chapel of the Virgin, and some capitals. There are indications that a nave at least partially arched of warheads and flanked from a low side to the north existed before the construction of the current nave, including columnettes without function...
