The church of Sainte-Bernadette de Lourdes is the last of the places of worship built in the enclosure of the sanctuary of Lourdes. It is located opposite the Massabielle cave, on the opposite bank (right bank) of the Gave de Pau, near the vast land free of constructions located downstream and designated as "la Prairie". It is dedicated to Saint Bernadette. Voluntary multipurpose building designed for specific needs that the three basilicas previously built on the other side could not satisfy, it is in particular here that the plenary assembly of the bishops of France meets regularly.
