About

The Chapelle de l'Arrier is a chapel located in Bourganeuf in the French department of Creuse, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

History: Built in the 12th century, the chapel was restored in 1612 by the White Penitents. Closed to the public for its poor condition, it is put on sale with a local project of conversion into a restaurant.

Protection: The chapel is listed as historical monuments by order of 15 September 1937.

Description: The chapel includes a nave with frame, four vaulted side chapels, and ancient elements such as third-point bays and foothills. It is severely damaged, notably by the partial collapse of the roof and water infiltration.
