About

Saint-Gervais-et-Saint-Protais Church is a parish Catholic church located in Vaudancourt, Oise department, France. It is a small, mostly Gothic-style building built in the first half of the 16th century on the basis of a cruciform building from the beginning of the 13th century. Only the north crusillon and the bell tower, which at the same time constitutes the most remarkable element of the church, were left in place.

Even the base of the bell tower, at the same time cross of the transept, has been entirely taken up in sub-works, and seems entirely flamboyant inside. A chapel was added in the corner between nave and north crusillon, and the nave was split by the construction of a collateral on the south side. This work was probably completed in 1544.

Then the nave was vaulted with warheads. Its considerable width combined with a low height caused the subtraction of a narrow corridor from the north side of the nave. This is one of the peculiarities of the church of Vaudancourt, with the shallow depth of the quadrangular apse, and the enfilade of four gables to the south.
