The covered driveway of Blanc, also locally known as Peyre Levado or Cros de la Viurge, is located in Nojals-et-Clotte in the French department of Dordogne, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It is protected by historical monuments.
Location: The covered driveway of Blanc is located on the territory of the former commune of Nojals-et-Clotte, commune of Beaumontois in Périgord, near the places-known as Peyrelevade—meaning "stone raised" in Occitan—and Blanc, east of the intersection of the departmental roads 19E and 676.
History: It was mentioned by François Jouannet between 1808 and 1818, by W. de Taillefer in 1821 and by Léo Drouyn in 1876, which gave a very precise description. The building was classified as historic monuments on May 4, 1971.
Description: Although known and listed as a covered alley, it is in fact an angoumoisin type dolmen with an eccentric corridor of the same type as the Larocal dolmen in Sainte-Sabine-Born. The sepulchral room is 4.50 m long by 2 m wide. It is oriented on a south-east/north-west axis. It is extended by an access corridor of about 1.20 m wide...
