About

The Saint George Church is a parish Catholic church located in Ronquerolles, Val-d'Oise, France. It is a rustic building enlarged and remodeled several times, which contains no vaults, no capitals. It consists of a nave, accompanied by a single bottom side to the south, with which it communicates by three arches all different; a bell tower at the end of the bottom side, south of the choir; and a long choir with a striped apse.

The narrow Romanesque windows in the lateral walls of the nave justify its dating from the late 11th century. The base of the bell tower is a little more recent, and is linked to the end of the Romanesque period or the very beginning of the Gothic period, around the middle of the 12th century, by its flat foothills. The upper and lateral windows of the nave were only added in 1257.

The portal still dates from a different era. It is of flamboyant Gothic style, and is the only element of the church that has enjoyed a carved decoration. The other parts of the church, the choir, the lower side and the belfry floor of the bell tower, are hard to beat by their lack of character.
