The church Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption d'Avenas is located in the new commune of Deux-Grosnes in the centre of the former commune of Avenas in the Rhône department. It was originally the church of the monastery of Avenas that belonged to the chapter of Mâcon. The 12th century altar is classified as a Historical Monument as an object since 1901 in the Palissy base of the French movable heritage of the Ministry of Culture.
