Castellum aquae
castellum divisorium
The castellum divisorium, or castellum aquae, is a Roman monument built in the first century in Nîmes, in the Gard. It was the point of arrival of the aqueduct that brought water from the fountain of Eure to the Roman colony of Nemausus, notably via the bridge of the Gard. Its remains are located in the city centre of Nîmes, rue de la Lampèze.
