chapelle Sainte-Croix de Nice
The chapel Sainte-Croix de Nice, called chapel of the white penitents, was built by the Minimes from 1633. Located on Rue Saint-Joseph in the Old Nice, it belongs to the Archconfrérie des penitents blancs. The chapel was partly rebuilt in 1765-1767 under the direction of architect Antoine Spinelli.
The façade, characteristic of the 17th century style, was retouched in 1875. The Baroque-style bell tower also dates from 1765-1767. It has been classified as historic monuments since 22 September 1987.
