About

The former Jesuit College is a religious building in the city of Eu, located in the Seine-Maritime department. Founded in the late 16th century by Jesuits, the college was closed in 1762 when the Jesuits were banished from France. The college and library remained in Eu, entrusted by the municipality to new secular teachers.

If during the Revolution the college was abolished in March 1792, the city continued teaching there. Left in an almost abandonment for almost 150 years, the library was transferred in 1973 to the castle purchased by the City of Eu.
