donjon Lacataye
The Lacataye dungeon is a monument located in Mont-de-Marsan, in the French department of Landes. It is not a dungeon itself, but two well-identifiable adjoining strong houses built of shellfish stones from the end of the 13th century or the beginning of the 14th century and with niches on their upper part in the 16th century. It is listed as a historical monument by order of 22 July 1942 and has been home to the Despiau-Wlérick Museum since 1968.
