fort de Villey-le-Sec
The Fort de Villey-le-Sec is a 19th-century fortification structure belonging to the Séré de Rivières system in the stronghold of Toul, located on the territory of the commune of Villey-le-Sec, France. This is the only example of a closed enclosure around a village of this border defence line designed after the defeat of 1871. Located outside World War I combat zones, it remained almost intact.
