The Toul Museum of Art and History is a museum in the city of Toul which includes, among others, paintings, tapestries, earthenware and archaeology. It has existed since 1872. Until 1939 he occupied part of the former episcopal palace, which he shared with the town hall and various administrative departments.
Since 1985, the museum has been housed in the old House-God whose foundation dates back to the tenth century under the episcopate of Saint Gérard (963-994). Much of the lapidary background is preserved and exhibited in the ancient "Chambre des Malades", built in the 13th century and in Gothic style. The House of God, for this room of the sick (including the chapel, the cloister, and the entrance door), was classified as historical monuments by order of 6 June 1980.
The museum was renamed Museum of Art and History Michel-Hachet in 2019, during a ceremony celebrated by the mayor, Alde Armand (Mayor from 2014).
