grotte de la Marche
The Marche Cave is a prehistoric cave located in Lussac-les-Châteaux, Vienna, in Poitou-Charentes, New Aquitaine region. It is one of the most important archaeological sites for stone engravings of the Magdalenian era. It delivered carved limestone plates based on or in the archaeological layer of Magdalenian III (according to the classification of Henri Breuil). The sagaies of Lussac-Angles, by the name of the commune and Angles-sur-l'Anglin, are considered to be a "fossil-director" typical of Magdalenian III.
