Choranche Cave, also known as Coufin-Chevalin Cave, is located in the Isère department, near Choranche in the Vercors Regional Natural Park and in the Vercors Massif. Located on the edge of the massif, its road access is via the motorway A49 Grenoble - Valencia, either by a road entering the massif, near Grenoble. The entrance to the cave lies at the foot of the cliffs of Presles, forming a natural circus bordering the plateau des Coulmes in the gorges of the Bourne. In November 2014, the Choranche Cave won the "Tourism Quality" brand.
Coufin Cave: Oscar Decombaz, September 7, 1897, explored the wetting vault. In 1949, the latter's deboot allowed Roger Pénelon and Louis Sage to access the Gruyère. In 1954, the Cyclops group climbed the waterfall of the matte (+116 meters) and stopped at the foot of the great waterfall.
